As a 60’s child our Halloween was much different we had more freedoms we went trick or treating throughout our neighborhood only there wasn’t a gathering at the school that you could not leave we just walked along our streets meeting our friends, some of the parents were there but they were dressed in costumes as well. We walk a good 2 to 4 hours, the parents would shoot the breeze with the parents at home giving out candy they didn’t tell us stay close by or don’t go too far because they knew they raised us right and trusted us, and we didn’t disappoint. Today is also my parents wedding anniversary, they’ve been gone quite a few years now, but growing up we always wondered why they chose Halloween day to get married. Many people have asked and never got a straight answer which led to speculation and conspiracies. My brothers and I never cared, it was a long time ago and they had their reasons I liked to believe they loved to have parties and their wedding would definitely be one to remember.
